Dr. Philip Yong-Xin, Li Assistant Professor in Chemical Biology
BioDr. Philip Yong-Xin is an Assistant Professor in Chemical Biology at the University of Hong Kong. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in pharmaceutical science from Peking University before completing his Ph.D. at HKUST. Driven by his passion for exploring the intersection of bioinformatics and synthetic biology, Dr. Li is committed to unlocking the potential of microbial genetics for discovering new therapeutics. His research has a particular emphasis on harnessing the bioactive molecules from complex microbiota, including those found in the human body and the ocean.
